Dr. Dori Portman was born in Savannah, Ga. where she developed a passion for horses at the age of three. Later, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Avian Biology at the University of Georgia. After attaining her undergraduate degree, she attended St. George’s University in Grenada where she achieved her DVM. She then held an internship position at Equine Reproduction Concepts, LLC. in northern VA where she learned advanced reproduction techniques in mares and stallion handling for collection. After working in private practice for 4 years in Eastern North Carolina, she returned home to the low country in 2017. In her off time, Dr. Portman enjoys trail riding, fishing, hunting and adventures with her 6 rabbits.
